Kirstin and Jennifer
Jennifer has been a student of yoga since 2003. She loves to integrate the precision, power, and body-awareness of alignment-based styles with the fun, flow, and in-the-momentness of Vinyasa styles. She is registered with Yoga Alliance (RYT-500), and teaches safe, alignment-oriented yoga peppered with flowing sequences in both English and German.
She is an Affiliate Purna Yoga Instructor at the 500 hour level, having graduated from the College of Purna Yoga (founders: Aadil Palkhivala and Savitri) at the Foundational level in 2012 at the Hilo, Hawaii branch, and at a more advanced one in October 2013 after training at the headquarters in Bellevue, Washington. In January 2013 she completed a certificate in teaching Vinyasa Yoga with the German-language program offered by the renowned studio Lord Vishnus Couch in Cologne, Germany. Since 2008 she has participated in numerous workshops and retreats encompassing special aspects of the physical practice of yoga, as well as meditation, massage, yoga philosophy, vegetarian cooking, and breath therapy in Ireland, Italy, Germany, and Portugal.
A native of Detroit, Michigan, USA, she has lived in Germany since she was 24. Her academic background is in theoretical linguistics, involving teaching, research and presenting for an international audience in both English and German. During playtime she likes to explore, stay in touch with her peeps, swim, dance, hike, and find fun beaches.
